The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is located between the cities of Kenosha and Racine. The University is an important partner to business and industry in meeting the educational and research needs of southeastern Wisconsin. Approximately 4,700 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled. Undergraduate degrees are offered in 24 academic majors. In addition, the University provides two graduate degrees, an MBA designed for working professionals and a Masters of Applied Molecular Biology, the only one of its kind in Wisconsin. Numerous research institutes are located on the Campus.

Located only 35 miles north of Racine County, Marquette University, located in Milwaukee, is a Catholic, Jesuit, independent, coeducational institution with an enrollment of approximately 10,600 students.
It has a faculty of 550 full-time and 446 part-time professors and has 11 academic units offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate majors. Marquette has degree programs for working adults and offers courses on campus as well as two satellite locations in Kenosha and Waukesha; a part-time law program; an executive master in business administration, and a physician assistant studies program.
