RCEDC Press Releasespress releases Find out how Racine County Economic Development Corporation is making headlines by checking out our latest press releases. 2010August 18, 2010 SBA 504 Loan Interest Rate Drops Below 5% for Small Business Borrowers The Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 504 loan program is providing long, term fixed rate financing for the purchase of commercial real estate at one of the lowest interest rates since the program’s inception. Organizations like Business Lending Partners, a division of RCEDC, are busy working with small business borrowers who are taking advantage of this current low interest rate to purchase or build new facilities. The interest rate for a 20-year SBA loan fell to a low of 4.931% this month and is fixed for 20 years.
2009December 14, 2009 Chinese Delegation Visits Racine County, WI The Racine County community recently hosted a reception honoring Wanming Chi of the China SINB group and five government officials from Sheyang, China. In July of 2009 the China SINB Group purchased 54 acres of land in the Village of Mount Pleasant. The investment group of the company, SINB North America Investment group, has proposed the development of an Eco-Business Park that will consist of approximately 600,000 square feet of office and production space.
October 26, 2009 Racine County and the City of Racine Seek Funding from the U.S. EPA Racine County and the City of Racine both submitted grant applications to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address their brownfield sites. The County worked in collaboration with FIRE (First-Ring Industrial Redevelopment Enterprise) administered by the City of West Allis, WI, and the City of West Milwaukee, WI, to submit a $1 million hazardous and petroleum brownfield assessment grant application.

October 8, 2009 Treasures Media to Construct Distribution Facility in the City of Racine Treasures Media established in Kenosha, WI in 2002 announced today that the company will construct a new distribution facility in the City of Racine. The company, working with builder and contractor BCI Group, has decided to construct an 80,000 square foot distribution facility in the City’s Southside Industrial Park, commonly known as the former Jacobsen‐Textron property.

The International Trade Administration (ITA), part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, has released the second edition of The Trade Finance Guide: A Quick Reference for U.S. Exporters (TFG). The TFG was developed to help U.S. exporters, specifically small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), gain practical knowledge of trade finance. The TFG helps SMEs learn how to manage the risks associated with doing business internationally and turn their export opportunities into paid sales.
