Racine County is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin and is approximately 65 miles north of Chicago and 25 miles south of Milwaukee. Interstate Highway 94 links Racine County with Milwaukee and Chicago, while U.S. Highway 45 and State Highways 11, 20, 31, 32, 36, 38 and 83 integrate the county. State Highways 75, 142 and 164 connect Racine County with adjacent counties.
The county seat is the City of Racine, located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Root River, between the Milwaukee and Chicago metropolitan areas.
